Human-AI Interaction Researcher
Hello! 👋 I’m a Computer Science PhD student at Virginia Tech’s Sanghani Center for Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics, advised by Prof. Chris North. Leveraging three years of industrial experience in full-stack and machine learning engineering, I design and implement human-AI collaborative systems using state-of-the-art LLM and agentic frameworks. I bridge the gap between AI reasoning and human oversight by architecting intuitive visual interfaces that prioritize system transparency, generalizability, and operational efficiency. My unique background in large-scale recommendation systems allows me to transition abstract cognitive frameworks into robust, production-ready solutions.

Before joining Virginia Tech, I spent nearly three years in industry, starting as a full-stack development engineer before advancing to machine learning engineering where I worked on large-scale recommendation systems. I hold both B.S. and M.S. degrees from Wuhan University. Throughout my PhD and master’s studies, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with distinguished researchers from premier institutions including MIT, Georgia Tech, Tsinghua University, City University of Hong Kong, and Adobe Research, among others.
I am actively seeking a Summer 2026 internship where I can apply my expertise in LLM agentic frameworks and human-AI alignment. I am eager to contribute to a research-driven team tackling complex challenges at the frontier of human-AI interaction. If your organization is innovating in this space, I would be delighted to connect and discuss how my skills can bring value.
